The word “tisch” is Yiddish for “table.” The Shabbos Tisch is a special gathering around a table for a meal, with D’vrei Torah, songs (Nigunim), and other storytelling. The ‘Tisch’ is all about the communal gathering and sense of togetherness on this special occasion.
On Shabbos Tisch, we gather on the Kol Ami rooftop around the table with Rabbi Reznick for an evening of learning followed by a meal, lots of Shabbat songs, a brief service, and storytelling. We will provide entrée, challah, and drinks. Please bring a dessert to share.
